Executive Producer, Creative & Archival Producer
Ali Scattergood is a filmmaker and photographer currently based in Seattle, Washington. Recently, Ali worked as the Assistant Producer and Assistant Editor for Florentine Films and Ewers Brothers Productions on a film about the history of the Mayo Clinic, a two hour film Executive Produced by Ken Burns, set to air on PBS fall 2018. Ali has worked on several other projects for Ken Burns and his teams taking her up and down the east coast including Emmy nominated series Cancer; Emperor of All Maladies, The Life and Times of Jackie Robinson, The Address, and his 10 episode miniseries on The Vietnam War.
Ali’s interest in documentary film and photography started years ago when she attended Interlochen Arts Academy for high school majoring in film production. From there, she graduated from Lawrence University majoring in Analog Photography and Digital Media. She also pursued additional education by attending the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine where she specialized in Documentary Photography and Video. Ali is currently working freelance on a variety of documentary projects as a Producer and Photographer.
